V/R Converters is a unit centered around music. Talich Helfen, Ippei, and Watagashi Kanro lead the group, handling everything from composition and performance to recording and mixing. They explore various approaches for each track, transcending genre boundaries—from electronic music to full-band sound. Since their formation in 2020, they have released three full-length albums and one remix album. Furthermore, from the second half of 2024, they have stepped up their live performances in earnest; in addition to appearing on ‘FRICTION’, they have been performing live at PBOX on the 10th floor of Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo, engaging in activities that bridge the virtual and real worlds.
V/R Convertersは、音楽を軸に活動するユニット。 Talich Helfen、ゐつぺゑ、綿菓子かんろを中心に、作曲・演奏・録音・ミックスまでを一貫して手がける。 電子音楽からバンドサウンドまで、ジャンルの垣根を超え、楽曲ごとに異なるアプローチを試みる。 2020年から活動し4枚のフルアルバムと1枚のリミックス・アルバムを出している。 また、2024年後半よりライブ活動も本格化させ、「FRICTION」への出演のほか、東京・渋谷PARCO 10F PBOXでのライブ・パフォーマンスを披露するなど、バーチャルとリアルを行き来する活動を展開している。
